The guys snuck away to the Hat last Fri. eve. for a few more runs. YUP, Bob got into the FAT 9's with a warning...oooops. here are the stats. the ol' guy ceratinly doesn't seem to have the reflexes of one!!!!!



Belair's fastest run:

11.91 @ 111.4 MPH



fastest reaction time: .002 (DOESN"T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THAT!!!!!!!)



Nova Kane fastest run:

9.98 @ 135 MPH



The other day Bob gave me a ride in this beast. Once my senses picked up on breathing, seeing, and hearing again it was NUTZ!!! and by then he had already let off....which then caused a vacuum to completely intoxicate me with alcohol fumes and then pinned it again.....and through the program once again....NO WONDER they are addicted. drag racing is the PERFECT adrenaline junkie sport!!!!!!

on the black Nova Kane:

this was this car's first run. after the first nova burnt on completion in a shop fire , many were anticipating the NEW project's result. certainly did not cease to impress......775 hp of PURE MUSCLE!!!!!

this race consisted of chassis tuning and a slight problem with the crankcase evac. which seemed to have been resolved. also, b/c this car was so close to the 9's (there you have it), Bob's going to have to have a licensing pass one of these Saturdays to be LEGAL to race at SIR under 9 s. I believe the Swift Current track is an Outlaw, so he could get away with it here.

this was one of many of the races this car has been in. this car started out as a BOAT. the 4 door family cruiser......and SOMEHOW turned into an extremely fast four door, that bucks and snorts at the tree......just once in awhile the red light comes on...oooops. the Bel-air ran flawless with the new electric fuel pump, it appears the driver has a good relationship with the car at this point. they seem to get 'er done!!!!

the race was BEAUTIFUL. all day the guys were left in limbo wondering if the rain would stop them from the season opener. the cars did excellent. times and details to follow once the racers have given me their specifics.......for now enjoy the video.

last night we had a little thunder storm. it was haden's first light show. the only time he has ever heard that much racket is at the drag track soooooo......when he heard the crash, he said "vroom vroom cars go fast....FUN!!!!!!." hmmmmmm......what a kiddo!!!
